The International Mermaid Museum will be the perfect location for your wedding or other celebration of up to 100 guests. The $1000 price offers four hours of use after 5pm. Each additional hour is $100 with later events considered on a case-by-case basis. A $500 damage deposit is required at the time of the reservation and is non-refundable if the event is cancelled with less than two week’s notice. Full payment is required two weeks before the event. The damage deposit will be returned within two weeks after determining if additional cleaning or repair is required with costs being determined by the facility.
The Museum allows caterers or potlucks. The party hosts will provide their own liquor license, food, drinks, servers, furnishing, and utensils. While other brands of spirits and beer are allowed, only Westport’s wines may be served on this property.
All ages are welcome at at the Mermaid Museum. At no time are minors allowed to consume alcohol. All persons who look under age 35 must provide identification to consume alcohol.
A one-hour rehearsal is included after regular business hours with prior appointment. Event set-up may begin at 5pm. Music and beverage service must end by 9pm. All people must leave the property by 10pm.
Pets are not allowed inside the museum. Service animals specifically trained to aid a person with disabilities are welcome.
No smoking or electronic cigarettes are allowed inside the building. It is required that party hosts provide janitorial service after an event.
No decorative items may be attached to walls or displays. The client is responsible for clean-up of property brought onto the resort. The Dumpsters are not available for disposal of event debris. Any cleaning time or damage repairs will be charged to the client’s credit card at a rate determined by the museum.
The International Mermaid Museum is not responsible for the security of any private property or rented equipment. An additional-insured liability policy naming the museum is required for event rentals.
There is ample parking on property. Event guests and vendors may not park along South Arbor Road.
